Starting a new creative journey. Join me won't you?

I'm planning something.

I've spent the last week or so trying to wrap my head around it before announcing anything. But I think I've got the big picture in focus now so here goes.

I'm re-engaging with a stalled novel project that didn't get very far. It's a mil sci-fi/space opera/space horror trilogy. My plan is to outline all three books first, then start writing them. It will culminate in a Kickstarter campaign that will not only offer ebooks and paperbacks but a deluxe hardcover omnibus of all three books.

And I'd like to invite you all on the journey.

What I'll be sharing: Snippets, story concepts, ideas, pseudo essays about the creative process.

I'll be sharing my progress and struggles here on Substack as well as Facebook as well as LinkedIn, Bluesky, my newsletter, and Patreon. I'm also looking into Ko-Fi, but it's similar to Patreon and the problems getting subscribers on the one platform will follow me to the other. It's not the platform that's the secret sauce. It's your strategy. There's also the difficulty in keeping up momentum across multiple platforms, and I have limited time.

YouTube - My initial plan is that YouTube will also be a part of this, at least in a limited fashion. I recently made a few tweaks to my YouTube page in anticipation of using it more.

I'm also toying with the idea of creating a street team Facebook group where people can get ARC copies of my books in exchange for reviews. I have a segment of my mailing list set up for this, but I never did much with it.
